The Pupils of Government School kongfune / Pinyin, North West Region of Cameroon Score 100% at the FSLC Examination 2015 thanks to a library donated by Member of CSC- Managing Board, Dr. Eunice Mbuh and basics.africa e.V.
The Makong Library is an initiative of Dr. Eunice Mbuh, a Trauma surgeon in Germany. After being away from home for a while her Attention was drawn to the some what reduced Level of awareness in School work in Primary school pupils especially wehn it came to reading and writing english, which is very vital for the transition into secondary and even tertiary education world wide. The makong library as sole community library in the Santa Subdivision is located in the premises of Government Primary School Kongfune Pinyin. It was inaugurated on the 7.1.2015. The occasion was presided over by the regional delegate for basic education for the North West Region, Mrs Fon and the Mayor of Santa, PA Khan. Since opening, the library has registered a growing number of users not only at primary school Level. Many secondary School pupils are making good use of it. It did not take Long for the fruits of this library to bee seen as the Pupils of GS Kongfune score a 100% success at the First School Leaving Certificate Examination for 2015.
